Scoutmaster's Minute

Welcome to WCV Troop 167, an active Scouts BSA Troop within the Twin Rivers District of the Mid-Iowa Council! We serve youth ages 10-17, primarily within the West Central Valley School District, but welcome youth from any school district or town. We have both a boys and girls Troop, all are welcome to join!

Troop History

Troop 167 was founded in 1942 and chartered by the American Legion 0146 James C Mcghee Post. For over 82 years, we have been serving families and Scouts; dedicated to instilling scout values, building character, emphasizing leadership and self-reliance. Troop 167 Scouts learn essential skills through advancements and study diverse fields through the merit badge program. Our meetings and outings are youth-led which enable our Scouts to learn valuable leadership skills. Through our Scouts, parents, and leaders we maintain an active, fun, and safe environment that teaches our young men and women the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation.
